Chelila nature trek passes through the Chelila pass (3886 meters) from where you can see the panoramic view of the Himalayas ranges. During spring and summer, the Trek route is adorned with varieties of Rhododendrons, Primulas, Blue Poppy and other wild flowers and Orchids.
From the ridge of the pass, you can see the Haa valley on one side and the Paro valley on the other. The view of Jumolhari Mountain is spectacular from here.
The Chelila Nature Trek is no exception and it is medium difficulty grade, which is seven nights and eight days trek. The trail is pleasant and beautiful, which it goes through the Primula and rhododendron forest. The views and sceneries on this trek offer a spectacular and striking one.

Departure from Paro with a private deluxe car/standard car (surcharge may vary) and guide in the language of your choice (surcharge may apply).
DAY 1: PARO – ARRIVAL
You will be received by the representative of our company who will your guide throughout your tour. Visit the Ta Dzong, built in the 17th century as a watchtower for the Paro Dzong. This Dzong was converted into the National museum in 1967 and is filled with antique thankha paintings, textiles, weapons and armor. Drive to see the Rinpung Dzong, built in 1645 to defend the valley against Tibetan invaders. The Dzong is now use as an administration center and school for monks.

DAY 2: PARO – SIGHTSEEING
Morning hike up to the Taktsang monastery (Tiger’s nest). The climb up to the view point will take around three hours. Enjoy the stunning view of the monastery, where Guru Padmasambava landed on the back of a tiger in the 8th century, and mediated for three months. Lunch will be arranged in the cafeteria and after lunch in the cafe, walk back to the road point and drive back to the hotel. Drive to Drukgyal Dzong (fortress) now in ruins, which was built in 1646 by Shabdrung to commemorate his victory over the Tibetan invaders, led by Mongolian Warlord, Gushri Khan.

DAY 3: PARO – CHONONA
Alt. 3500m. Distance 14 km. Start trekking from the hotel. Most of the day's walk is a gradual climb through Bhutanese farmhouses. The view of Paro valley from the trail is excellent. Overnight in tent at Chonana

DAY 4: CHONONA - JEBKARPO
Distance 16 km. Hike uphill for about 5 hours slowly and allowing for plenty of stops. The trail takes you through a forest filled with many species of primal and rhododendrons. From the pass the trail along the ridge of Chilila the Himalayan range of Bhutan can also be seen. Overnight in tent

DAY 5: JEBKARPO-LOWER MINGULA
Distance 15 km. Alt. 3845m. Today is a day to be up early. The early morning views from camp of Mt. Chomolhari, Mt.Tsrim Ghang, and Mt. Jichu Drakey are stunning. The trail follows the ridge. Besides the view of the mountains you can also see the valleys of Paro and Haa. Overnight in tent

DAY 6:LOWER MINGULA - THONG
Distance 16 km. Alt. 3940m. Another day with excellent views of mountains and valleys and on this route it is very common to see yak herders. Overnight in tent

DAY 7: THONG – PARO
Descend back to Paro valley. The trek ends at Drukgyal dzong. Drive to hotel. Overnight in hotel
