FARM-STAY

Our visitor can eyewitness and understand the everyday life of a typical Bhutanese family and learn about the exact Bhutanese generosity, their customs and conventional way of cuisine which is once more reasonably exceptional to rest of the world.

Farming in Bhutan has a leading role in the financial system of the country and main sources of living among the Bhutanese citizens. We still use the conventional method of farming practice with no use of modern technology and chemicals.

We will take delicious home-cooked meals and night stay in the farm houses with the family members for a real time familiarity when you stay and spent time in their farm house. If you are fascinated to work in the farm with local people, we will organize for the same.

Our guest can combine their holiday with Farm stay with other tour package like cultural, textile etc during their visit to Bhutan. There are farm house identified by the Tourism Council of Bhutan in the Valley of Paro, Punakha, Phobjikha Valley, Bumthang where tourists visiting Bhutan can now enjoy a Home stay in the villages in the village houses with food and asylum provided by the house owners, so that tour guest can get real time experience of the village life in Bhutan.

Our guest will be taken good care with proper meals and drinks will be served by the house mother like she does for her family members. However we make sure to ensure that cleanliness and hygiene is maintained at all times, a decent toilet and shower arrangements will be provided. You can also experience hot stone bath which is believed to be remedy for skin disease and other bone fractured.

HOME-STAY

Visitors have the option of spending a night in the traditional home of a Bhutanese family. A Home-Stay will give you an excellent glimpse into the day-to-day life of a typical Bhutanese family.

You’ll enjoy delicious home-cooked meals and the unparalleled hospitality of a Bhutanese host.

All officially sanctioned and listed home-stays are located in the gorgeous Bhutanese countryside, far from the noise and crowds of population centers. In order to experience a traditional life, electricity and running water are not available at Home-Stays. Hot water can be provided by the family but will be served in a wash basin/bowl.

During the stay in farm house, our guests can join the local community to play games like Khuru, and also do walk to community.

The best times for this farm tour are during Agricultural Season.

February/March/April: Farmers sow seeds vegetables and paddy plantations.

June / July: Potato harvest and Paddy transplantation,

August/ September/October: Rice, Red chili and mushroom harvesting.

September/ October: sowing seed for wheat, buckwheat and sorting of rice

Please note that all formally permitted Farm-stays are situated in the graceful Bhutanese countryside amidst green farmland away from the clamor and crowds of residents. In order to experience a conventional life, modern facilities will not be there at Farm-Stays. However critical necessitate will be provided as per your want and we make sure you are not left out.
