Duration: 10 Days and 9 Nights

Season: March, April and May, and later during September, October and November

Places: Paro, Thimphu, Punakha and Wangdiphodrang

Day01:  Arrival at Paro 

On arrival at Paro International Airport you will be welcomed and received by our representative from Bhutan Great Trip. Then our team will escort you to Hotels. After settling everything, you will choose your bikes, which will be there in the Hotel and later in the afternoon we can go for a familiarization ride nearby Town. Overnight at Hotel, Paro. 

Day 02:  Paro – Sightseeing on your bikes.

Right after breakfast, we will ride towards north following the Pa Chu towards Drugyel Dzong, on a clear day Mt. Chomolhari. After there we will return back to visit Kychi Lhakhang, the Ta-Dzong National History Museum, the Rinpung Dzong and later in the evening at leisure. Overnight at Hotel, Paro. 

Day 03:  

On the 3rd day we will ride to Chelila pass which is 35 km uphill from the Paro Bondey towards Haa. This ride will require substantial willpower as it is all climbing but the traffic is very low with very good road conditions. The road traverses from first to last via alpine forest. Once you reach Cheilia pass which is about 3810m where reward awaits with a very good sight of the Haa valley and Himalyan Mountains. Then on the ride will all downward through pine trees till Haa( 2670m) for the 26 km ride. Overnight at Hotel, Haa.

Day04:

We will begin our ride from Haa towards Thimphphu via loner way which is plane but with lots of turning. The ride will involve stunning flora sights and also pass through many villages of Haa, like Jyenkana, Bitekha, Dawakha etc. All along witnessing daily village farm duties and meeting many welcoming people. Ovenight  at hotel, Thimphu.

Day05:

Right after breakfast we will do site seeing in Thimphu that include rides till Sangaygang, after that its downhill all throughout visiting 2 monasteries while coming down. Then visit the Memorial chorten, the school of arts and craft and evening be at leisure to explore the Thimphu town. Ovenight  at hotel, Thimphu
Day06:

On 6th day we will ride till Tango and Cherry Monastery, covering a distance of 22 KM from Thimphu. When we reach Tango and Cherry, we can leave our bikes in the parking and then hike to the Monastery. Ovenight  at hotel, Thimphu

Day07:  

On 7th day we will ride to Punakha   from Thimphue which is 77 KM away from Thimphu, on the way we will stop by places like Dochula Pass. From there it’s downward all the way till Punakha, but we will stop by Lamperi to visit the botanical garden, after that we will be crossing Bhutanese villages and farm houses. Overnight at hotel,Punakha.

Day08:  

Sightseeing of Punakha Valley with bikes.The place includes visit to Punakha Dzong followed by, ride further North through the villages till the Crown Prince’s Monastery, hike for about an hour return trip and return via same route to Phunakha. Ovenight  at hotel,Punakha.

Day09:

On the 9th day we will ride the loop adjacent to the Punakha River till Wangdue, visit the Wangdue Dzong Chimmi lhakhang in Lobetsha. That is the end of your bicycle trip. From here we will take car to drive to Paro which will take about 2-3 hours. Evening at leisure in Paro town. Ovenight at hotel, Paro.

Day10. Departure.

We will drive to Paro international Airport and our guide and driver will bid you farewell for safe journey.

Land cost: USD $ 1800.00 (USD $ 280.00 per night) 

Visa Fee: USD $   40.00

Tourism Development Fund: USD $   10.00

Net package cost per person: USD $ 1850.00 + Airfares

SURCHARGE

Individual tourists and smaller groups of less than three persons shall be subject to the following surcharges:

a)    Single Individual: US$ 40/ per night halt

b)    Group of 2: US$ 30/ per person per night halt

c)    The 10% agency commission payable to agents abroad shall not be deductible from the surcharge.

d)  The surcharge will not be applicable to representatives of foreign travel agents on business study or promotional visit duly approved and cleared by TCB.
